Ricky Lee Bryant, 60, of Funston, died Sunday, November 17, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 21, 2019 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Voyles Officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Church Cemetery. John Belcher, Andrew Belcher, Daniel Bryant, Thomas Bryant, Shannon Bryant and Drew Bryant will all serve as pallbearers.
Born on November 27, 1958, in Thomasville, Georgia, he was the son of Virginia Howell Bryant and the late Thomas Earl Bryant. He was a co-owner of Bryson Supply and Sunbelt Poultry. He also worked with the Colquitt Co. Sheriff's Office as the Drug Task Force Commander for 4 years and was a  Sergeant for 15 years with the Moultrie Police Department. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Bryant; infant sister, Tonya Bryant; brother in law, Steve Belcher; sister in law, Vickie Bryant; and father in law, Frank Belcher.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Betty Belcher Bryant of Funston; son, Corey Bryant and wife Nikki of Hartsfield; daughter, Dawn Bryant Griffin and husband Jeb of Norman Park; mother, Virginia Howell Bryant; grandchildren, Gage Griffin, Madelyn Griffin and Walker Bryant; brothers, Stevie Bryant of Hartsfield, Donny Bryant and wife Donna of Moultrie, and Danny Bryant and wife Roxane of Hartsfield; mother in law, Mary Belcher; brothers/sisters in law, Rodney and Myra Cross of Quitman, Robert and Cindy Belcher,  and Martha Belcher, all of Moultrie; and special friends, Wayne and Miriam Gay of Sale City.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the Colquitt Regional Hospice 415 Rowland Dr. Moultrie, Georgia 31768.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
