Robert Bob' Gay III, 55, of Moultrie, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27, at Lifespring Community Church with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Burial will follow in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Willie McFadden, Ray Miller, Jason Miller, Shan Howell, Joey Matthews and Jeff Holden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Colquitt Regional Medical Center Oncology Dept and Ann Parten. Born July 21, 1957, in Moultrie, he was the son of Shelby Browning Starling and husband Wes of Moultrie and the late Robert Gay Jr. He was the owner and operator of Bob Gay Trucking and he was a member of Lifespring Community Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cassie Gay; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gay Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Browning; and a special niece, Gayla Alvis. Survivors include a son, Rob Gay of Moultrie; a daughter, Candice Taylor and husband Randy of Moultrie; a brother, Michael Gay of Tifton; sisters, Michelle Porter of Moultrie and Cathy Sloan and husband Joey of Moultrie; and a grandchild, Maddison Grace Taylor. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., saturday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home.
