Robert Bruce Saunders, Jr., age 73 of Omega, died Wednesday August 14, 2019 in Worth County.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Monday August 19, 2019 in Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Willis Moffitt and Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Burial will be in Crosland Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 prior to service.
Born August 16, 1945 in Colquitt County he was the son of the late Robert Bruce Saunders, Sr. and Gertrude Ethel Morris Saunders. He worked as a pipe fitter in industrial construction and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Saunders is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mamie Edwards Saunders, sister Barbara Saunders Tabor.
He is survived by a son Robert Allen Saunders of Crosland; daughters, Sheila Saunders Cook and husband Dudley of Omega and Brittany Saunders of Albany; step children, Audrey Jenkins and Torris of Lithonia, GA, Allen Robinson, Christopher Robinson and Antionette of Albany; grandchildren, Hannah Saunders, Ben Littleton, Haley Calhoun, Cole Calhoun, Makylan Reeves, Jordan Montez Milledge, Brandi Sharle Edwards, Jade Kier Edwards, Chassidy Dowell, Jaylen Dowell, Tenaurus Dowell, Kimberly Robinson, Quincy Robinson and Reshawn Robinson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
