Robert Lee Simpson

Robert Lee Simpson, 77, of Alapaha, Georgia passed away at Lakeland Villas on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

Born on June 1, 1947, in Cook County, Georgia he was the son of the late Franklin Robert Simpson and Irene Bailey Simpson. Robert was a man of many convictions with the dedication to his produce & nursery business to spreading the gospel. 

In all of his family and friends, Robert valued strong character traits such as significant work ethic, integrity, and self-reliance, and he assisted in building those traits. He lived an authentic life and left an impact on everyone he met. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Julia Faye Smith Simpson; children: Robert Steve & Janet Virginia Simpson; grandchildren: Hunter and Destinee Wolfe; siblings: Dorothy Guest, Doris Burnett, and Marvin Simpson.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Julia Alday (husband Ramon)and Jenny Jolly; grandchildren: Ashley and Heather Lopez; great-grandchildren: Tomas Lopez, Olivia Lopez, and Francis Scott. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 3, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Bro.Junior Morgan officiating. Pallbearers will be Ashley Lopez, Elilish Smith, Heather Lopez, Jenny Jolly, Johnathan Wolfe, and Robert Wolfe. Interment will follow at Wilkes Cemetery in Adel, GA. The family will begin receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home in Moultrie, GA.
