Ronald Martin Vickers PAVO Ronald Martin Vickers, 67, of Pavo, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 18, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Born Feb. 14, 1947, in Miami, Fla., he was the son of Louise Smith Vickers of Cherry Lake, Fla., and the late Monte Grayon Vickers. He was retired from Wills Trucking Company and was a veteran of the United States. Army, serving in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by sons, Scooter Bass and Steve Vickers; brothers Gene Vickers and Gary Vickers Survivors include sons, Thomas Vickers and Tami Weiss of Jasper, Fla., Ronald Vickers and wife Janice of Pavo, and Michael Vickers of Lumpkin, Texas; a daughter, Carlinda Young and husband Brigham of Perry, Fla.; brothers, Glen Vickers of Cherry Lake, Fla., Johnny Mack Vickers of Cherry Lake, Fla., and Douglas Vickers of Madison, Fla.; sisters, Ramona Dickinson and husband Don of Madison, Fla., and Ann Vickers of Boston, Mass.; 13 grandsons; four granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
