Roy James Castleberry

MOULTRIE- Roy James Castleberry, Sr., 79, of Moultrie, died Thursday October 17, 2019 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral Service will be held 11am Saturday October 19, 2019 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. James "Shot" Sellers officiating. Interment will be in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Born on April 26, 1940, in Ellenton, Georgia, He was the son of the late Gilbert Castleberry and Myra Watson Castleberry. He was retired from Wells Aluminum in the fabrication department. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Geraldine Aldridge Castleberry; brothers, Cleveland Castleberry and Bobby Castleberry and sister, Vera Mae Rogers. Mr. Castleberry is survived by his sons, Lucky Castleberry and wife Kristie of Moultrie, Roy Castleberry, Jr. of Moultrie, John Hitt of Moultrie, Scottie Hitt of Brunswick and Wayne Hitt and wife Lindy of Moultrie; daughters, Cindy Castleberry of Moultrie, Lynn Yates and husband Scotty of Lawrenceville, Brenda Snow and husband Bubba of Ty Ty, Wanda Welch and husband Greg of Moultrie; brother, Jackie Castleberry and wife Sara Mae of Ellenton; sisters, Lois Folsom of Ellenton, Carrie Hoddnette and husband Frank of Moultrie and Sarah Jean Bell of Moultrie; 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family will be meeting at the home of Lucky and Kristie Castleberry at 1063 U S Highway 319 South, Moultrie. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
