Ruby Jean Lane Ross

Ruby Jean Lane Ross, 84, of Sugar Land, TX formerly of Moultrie, passed away January 28, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Herman Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Randy Powers, Jerry Powers, Ronnie Powers, and Dale Powers. Born on January 31, 1932 in Colquitt Co., GA she was the daughter of the late Grover Lane and Mary Elizabeth Weeks "Molly" Lane. She retired from General Telephone Electric as a supervisor and was an active member of Southside Baptist Church in Norman Park, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and as the church secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eli "Jimmy" Ross, brother, Howard Lane; sister, Kathleen Powers, and her daughter in law, Corrine Casadonte Ross. Survivors include her son, Allan Devon Ross of Sugar Land, TX and two grandchildren, Benjamin Ross and Noah Ross, both of Sugar Land. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday February 4, 2017 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
