Ruth Collins James, 88, of Moultrie, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Park Regency. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Westview Cemetery. The Rev. Shane Ashley will officiate. Mrs. James was born April 15, 1923, in Canton, Ga., daughter of the late William Clint Collins and Annie Cantrell Collins. She was a Baptist and a beautician. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Ellis Lofton James; a daughter, Dorothy Mills; two brothers, Joe Clinton Collins and Thomas Collins; and three sisters, Sonya Rhodes, Frances Rhodes and Pat Paul. Survivors include two sons, Ronald James and wife Janet of New Bern, N.C., and David James and wife Robin of Tallahassee, Fla.; two daughters, Dianne Grotha and husband Vernon of Barnhart, Mo., and Val Jean Hunter of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Rose Mason of Ocala, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.
