Sarah Baker Tyson, 71, of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Moultrie Church of God with Rev. Tommy Dorman and Rev. Ricky McLaughlin officiating. Tommy Posey, James Veal, Jeffery Baker, Ben Guillebeau, Danny Bennett, and Nate Pittman will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Born on September 13, 1949 in Cook County, she was the daughter of the late Sam Baker and Susan Mae Harrell Baker. She was a J.P Stevens mender and was a member of Moultrie Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Keilyn Pittman.
Mrs. Tyson is survived by her husband, Rev. James Tyson of Moultrie; son, Randy Tyson and wife Sandra of Moultrie; daughter, Renee Mcleighton and husband A.J. of Sparks; brother, Paul Baker and wife Teresa of Milledgeville; sister, Mary Jane Adam Rowland of Nashville; granddaughters, Crystal Williams, Hannah Mcleighton, Kimberly Williams, Nathan Pittman, Amber Williams, and Ben Guillebeau; great-grandchildren, Elijah DeMott, Wally DeMott, Jason DeMott, Steven Williams, Kamryn Pittman, Jakayden Pittman, Kinsley Smith, and Lexi Ann Guillebeau.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at Moultrie Church of God.
