Scotty Dewitt Gibson MOULTRIE Scotty Dewitt Gibson, 38, of Moultrie, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terron Stonecyper officiating, assisted by the Rev. Billy Wilkes. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens with Justin Pope, Will Martin, Lonnie Powell, Justin Murphy, Brian Murphy and Tony Reynolds serving as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers will be Curt Riggins, Michael High, Wade Dillon and the Horseshoe Family. Born Sept. 27, 1974, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Travis Oneil Gibson and Dorothy Faye Hunter Gibson. He was self-employed in construction and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nettie Pope. Survivors include brothers, Oneil Gibson and wife Brenda of Moultrie, Jack Gibson of Moultrie and Lynnwood Gibson and wife Cammy of Moultrie; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be, on Wednesday, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the funeral home in the name of Scotty Dewitt Gibson.
