Seymoure Thomas S.T.' Carruthers ABBEVILLE Seymoure Thomas S.T.' Carruthers, 84, of Abbeville, Ga., formerly of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Abbeville Health & Rehab. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, at Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Wiard officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Church Cemetery with funeral home staff members serving as pallbearers. Born April 13, 1928, in Soperton, Ga., he was the son of the late George Henry Carruthers and Lomie Dessie Lumley Carruthers. He was an independent truck driver and mechanic. He was preceded in death by a son, George Henry Carruthers; a brother, George Carruthers; and a sister, Jessie Mae Smith. Survivors include the mothers of his children, Susie Croft of Moultrie and Linda Wild of Willisburg, Ky.; sons, Tommy Carruthers, Charles Carruthers and wife Kristie of Moultrie and Curtis Carruthers of Willisburg, Ky.; daughters, Jane Benton of Moultrie, Anne Carroll and husband Thomas of Cordele, Ga., and Crystal Corbett and husband Scott of Statenville, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 18, from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service. The family may be contacted at the home of Jane Benton, 7629 Old Adel Road.
