Shelia Diane Brooks

Shelia Diane McMurphy Brooks, 62, of Norman Park, died Monday, January 25, 2021 at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 28, 2021 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Terron Stonecypher officiating. Interment will be held at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Garden. Tony Reynolds, James McMurphy, Michael Wayne Gibson, Craig McMurphy, II, Jot McMurphy, and Lee Reynolds will serve as pallbearers. Lance Johnson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Born on July 15, 1958 in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of Mary Louise Cox McMurphy and the late James William McMurphy. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary McMurphy and Larry McMurphy; and sister, Irene Gibson.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband, Gene Meads, Jr. of Norman Park; mother, Mary Louise Cox McMurphy of Moultrie; sons, Jacob Brooks and wife Tesha of Moultrie, and Cody Brooks and wife Tiffinay of Moultrie; daughter, Nicole Brooks of Moultrie; grandchildren, Hunter Brooks, Shy-Ann Brooks, Kayne Brooks, Easton Brooks, and A.J. Brooks; brothers, Ronnie McMurphy and wife Kathy, Craig McMurphy and wife Dana, Michael McMurphy, and Harold McMurphy and wife Debbie; sisters, Virginia Meads and husband Joey, Betty Pope and husband B.B., Bobbie Jean McCook, Wilma Williams, and Carolyn Reynolds.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 on Wednesday, January 27, 2021
