Shirley Christine Fields Hamm, 88, of Norman Park, died at her home on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Stephan Massey and Reverend Glen Hamm officiating. Interment will follow at Omega City Cemetery. The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Born on December 14, 1936, in Tifton, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late George Vinson Fields and Doshie Elvira Lawson Fields. Throughout her life, Christine was known for her unwavering love, kindness, and generosity. As a homemaker, she dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Christine had a deep passion for sewing, and many will remember her for the beautiful handmade creations she lovingly crafted for those she held dear. She poured her heart into everything she did, from keeping a beautiful household to making sure every family gathering was filled with love and laughter. Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her grandchildren. She loved playing with them, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories that will be treasured for years to come. Christine's family was her pride and joy, and she was the cornerstone that held them together. Her warm spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Hamm was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Glen Fields, Howard Fields, Walter Fields, Lorene Dixon, Marie Harper, Geneva Kitchens, and Ellie Jo Johnson.
Mrs. Hamm is survived by her husband, Carl “CL” Hamm of Moultrie; daughter, Tammy Ingle and husband Steve of Norman Park and Carla Young and husband Chris of Moultrie; grandchildren, Christi Hayes and husband Kevin, Brandon Russell and wife Patricia, Ashley Harrod, and Kimberly Norman and fiancée Robert Taylor; and great grandchildren, Landon Norman, Luke Norman, Madison Hayes, Hayden Fullington, Abigail Hayes, Bella Polk, Emanuel Hayes, Daniela Russell, and Oliver Russell.
