Shirley Cooper Harrell , 76, of Moultrie, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will held 3 p.m., Friday, April 20, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery with Donald Harper, Wayne Lacey, Daryl Guy, Charles Parks, Matt Sauls and Glenn Murphy serving as pallbearers. Born Aug. 22, 1935, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Julius Walden Cooper and Cordelia Catherine Eure Cooper. She was a seamstress at Riverside Manufacturing and a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Stanford. Survivors include her husband, Gene Harrell of Moultrie; sons, Tommy Ferguson and wife Louise of Gainesville, Fla., Steven Harrell and wife Amy of Bainbridge, Ga., and Michael Harrell of Canton, Ga.; daughters, Mary Ellen Johnson and husband Daniel of Canton, Ga., and Susan Cowan of Canton, Ga.; brothers, Jimmy Cooper of Commerce, Ga., Charles Cooper and wife Darlene of Columbus, Ga., and Melvin Cooper and wife Debra of Gainesville, Ga.; sister, Mary Sue Tillman and husband Dean of Moultrie; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, on Friday, at the church.
