Shirley Kinnett

Shirley Kinnett, 78, of Norman Park, died on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Pruitt-Health Sunrise.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Shannon Partain officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Kinnett will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Born on December 14, 1945, in Ben Hill Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Kinnett, Sr. and Irene Grimes Kinnett. She served as the director of Crossroads Mission from 1996 until 2010. She was an active member of Christian Crusades Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kinnett was preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert Kinnett, Jr., Geral Kinnett, and Thomas Kinnett; and sisters, Ada Young, Annie Ruth Barrentine, Christine Hester, Millie Burke, Birma Harrell, Jewel Solomon, and Della Dale.

Mrs. Kinnett is survived by her loving sons, Mickey Pate of Valdosta, and Thomas Pate and wife Shirley of Moultrie; grandchildren, Ana Gunsolus, Dixie Fay Woods, Waylon James Woods, James Thomas Woods, Brooklyn Lee Woods, and Olate Lynn Pate; and sister, Lola Spell and husband Dwight of Fitzgerald, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
