Shirley Baker Stowers, 79, of Moultrie, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Craig Kernaghan, Mark Tucker, Joey Gay, Wayne Jackson, David McCoy, and Steve Baker will serve as pallbearers.
Born on February 26, 1940, in Ellenton, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Lois Evelyn Baker. She was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Marlin Stowers.
She is survived by her daughters, Sonya Stowers Kernaghan and husband Craig of Dahlonega, Georgia, and Emily Stowers Gay of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Ashley Stowers of Moultrie, Kayla Scott of Warner Robins, Ian Kernaghan and wife Danielle of Clarksville, Tennessee; great grandchildren, Liam Kernaghan, X'Zaviah Scott, Bryson Scott, Malayiah Scott, and Makenna Scott.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm - 2:00pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home on Monday, May 13, 2019.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
