Shirley Ann Watson Walker, 74, of Moultrie, passed away at Pruitt Health Magnolia Manor on Monday, February 3, 2025.
Born on May 15, 1950, in Silver Hill, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Joe Wheeler “JW” Watson and Eva O’Neal Watson. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, raising and caring for her five children with endless love and devotion.
Ms. Shirley found joy in the simple moments of life—nurturing her family, creating a warm and welcoming home, and always putting others before herself. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support will forever be cherished by her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her. She was a woman of strong faith and a devoted member of the Church of God. She found comfort and strength in her faith, which guided her through life’s joys and challenges.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Johnnie Joseph Walker of Moultrie; sons, Edward Joe Walker and wife Lisa of Valdosta, and John Joseph Walker of Mississippi; daughters, Patricia Renee Walker of Adel, Brandie Michelle Sammons of Lenox, and Mary E. Walker of Moultrie; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Meads and husband Gordon of Bear Creek, Joan Marie Sierra of Moultrie, and Francis Lauren Padova of Moultrie; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
