Stephanie Virginia Hood

Stephanie Virginia Hood, 52, of Moultrie, passed away at Pruitt Health-Sunrise on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

A private memorial service will be held at a later time.

Born on March 18, 1972, in Moultrie, Georgia, Stephanie was the daughter of Mr. William H. Hood and Mrs. Vera Clarice Lasseter Hood. For many years, she worked at Riverside Manufacturing Co. until its closure. Embracing change with grace, she earned her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate and pursued a new path in healthcare She worked diligently at Pruitt Health, where her compassion and dedication touched the lives of many patients and colleagues. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, cheering passionately for her favorite team every season. Her love for dogs was well-known, and she always had a special place in her heart for her furry friends. She was of Baptist faith. 

Ms. Hood was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy “Dede” Hood; and her grandparents, Lawrence and Dorothy Hood, and James and Inez Lasseter.

In addition to her parents, William H. Hood and Vera Clarice Lasseter Hood of Pavo, she is survived by her loving daughters, Alexis Dunham and husband Colby, Cheyenne Reynolds and fiancé Ethan, Tara Reynolds, Lakin Reynolds, and Megan Tatum and husband Travis, all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Rylan Williams, Saylor Reynolds, and Lillian Queen; sisters, Roxanne Stone and husband Terrell, Matasha Jarvis and husband Tony, all of Moultrie; brother, Rocky Hood, also of Moultrie; special nieces, and nephews, Brady Jarvis, Hannah Hood, Ava Hood, Dylan Hood, and Brodie Stone; and a special aunt, Margaret Hood of Moultrie.
