Stephen Jones

Stephen Wade Jones, 60, of Moultrie, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Shannon Holt, Chris Cole, Weslie Barrett, Terry Norman, Chris Barber, and Allan Grace will serve as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
Born on April 5, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late James Curtis Jones and Rebecca L. Young Jones. He was employed by The Colquitt Co. Board of Education, where he worked in the cafeteria at Colquitt Co. High School. He was also of the Baptist faith. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta C. Byrd Jones; brother, Michael Curtis Jones; and grandparents, Beulah and Vance Young and Faye and Harvey Jones.

He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Jones and fiancée Dana of Tifton, Kayla Gaskins and husband Chris Pearson of Nashville, and Brittany Smith and husband Rodney of Tifton; sister, Lorrie Zimmerman of Moultrie; grandchildren Drew Pearson, Wesley Smith, Joanna Gaskins, Ashley Pearson, Brooklyn Smith, Emsley Smith, and Rodney Wade Smith; and special niece, Sophie Zimmerman of Moultrie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
