Borne on June 6, 1930 in Pavo, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Zeb Carter and Eudora Eddings Carter. Throughout Mrs. Syble's adult life, she was a leader or a follower; she fit wherever she was needed. She was as proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grands as any Southern Lady should be and would be the first to brag on them. Syble had a servant's heart. She gave food to the hungry, helped the sick any way she could, and was always there to console and comfort a grieving family. From her sick bed she continued to do many of these things. Mrs. Syble was a faithful member to First Baptist Church of Norman Park, where she helped with all events for as long as she could. She and Doyle shared a very special marriage for 67 years where she completely loved him with all of her heart. They worked together and were very rarely ever apart. As much as she loved Doyle and her family, she loved her Heavenly Father first. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Vance Carter, and Cleveland Carter; and a great grandson, Cruz Gregory. Survivors include her husband, Ivey Doyle Carlton of Norman Park; son, Clint Carlton and wife Rhonda of Perry, FL; daughters, Diana Carlton Clark and husband Terry of Moultrie, and Mitzi Carlton Weeks and husband Donnie of Norman Park; grandchildren, Justin Weeks and wife Shellie, Ivey Weeks Gregory and husband Brad, Landi Young and husband Brock, Chloe Carlton, Gracie Carlton, Taylor Gregory, Jessie Gregory, and Macy and Stuart Ely; great grandchildren, S.J. Weeks, Stirling Weeks, Case Gregory, Trip Gregory, Tuck Gregory, Beck Gregory, Amelia Gregory, and Charlie Young; and special caretaker, Keshuna Bonner, and Felicia Thomas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at
