Teresa "Teri" Gay Mercer

Teresa "Teri" Diane Gay Mercer, 57, of Doerun, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Rehab Center of South Georgia. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Baker Funeral Home with burial at Omega City Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Voyles and the Rev. Donnie Sloan will officiate. Mrs. Mercer was born Aug. 20, 1958, in Moultrie to the late John Henry Gay Jr. and Carolyn Sue Martin, who survives. She was a Baptist and a self-employed painter. Survivors, in addition to her mother, of Morven, include sons, Jason Earl Mercer and wife Connie of Norman Park and Dalton Cole Perry and wife Hollyann of Lake Mary, Fla.; daughter, Tonya Mercer Bozeman and husband Jody of Scooterville, Ga.; brothers, Roger Gay and wife Chandra of Morven, James Gay of TyTy, and Marty Gay of Kansas; grandchildren, Tatum Mercer, Zach Mercer, Jaci Ana Mercer, Jase Mercer, Rhett Bozeman, Caleb Bozeman and Leia Perry. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Ann Gay Golden. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at the funeral home.
