Thomas Edward Kimbrell, 79, of Norman Park, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2023, In the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Dallon Walker and Rev. James Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Deep Bottom Cemetery. Parker Kimbrell, Chad Kimbrell, Russ Ogletree, Evan Nagle, Gavin Kimbrell, and Jared Williams will all serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
Born on April 29, 1943, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Goldia Erin Luke Kimbrell. Mr. Kimbrell was the owner of Kimbrell Service Center and was a member of New Hope Holiness Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Kimbrell; and a sister-in-law, Myra Kimbrell.
Mr. Kimbrell is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Vivian Tompkins Kimbrell of Norman Park; children, Sandee Kimbrell of Thomasville, Kaye Kimbrell Williams and husband James of Norman Park, Michele Kimbrell Gay and husband Sonny of Moultrie, and Thomas Kimbrell and wife Angie of Moultrie; brothers, Jerry Kimbrell of Doerun, Tony Kimbrell and wife Nikki of Ellenwood, Ga.; sisters, Mary Alice Cobb of Dallas, Ga., and Jan McNulty and husband John of Douglasville, Ga.; grandchildren, Candace Ogletree and husband Russ of Tifton, Casie Green of Thomasville, Jared Williams and wife Jennifer of Norman Park, Jesica Nagle and husband Evan of Norman Park, Gavin Kimbrell of Moultrie, Journey Kimbrell of Moultrie, Tyler Bannister and wife Samantha of Box Springs, Ga., Brady Bannister, and Pixie Gay of Moultrie; great-grandchildren, Caden Green, Cohen Green, Catie Rae Green, Charlee Cate Ogletree, Aubree Ogletree, Jace Williams, Preston Williams, Grayson Williams, Logan Nagle, Eron Nagle, Emerson Nagle, Aiden Nagle, and Maddox Bannister; sister-in-law, Linda Kimbrell of Norman Park.
