Thomas Martin Tommy' Taylor MOULTRIE Thomas Martin Tommy' Taylor, 57, of Moultrie, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., today, Nov. 20, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Myrick officiating. Burial will follow in Hawthorn Cemetery in Cairo with Lee Bishop, Elizie Jones, Mike Jones, Terry Merritt, Charles Bishop, Cedric Williams and Robert Bryant serving as pallbearers. Born Dec. 4, 1954, in Yakohoma, Japan, he was the son of Mae Bell Hall Taylor of Moultrie and the late Marvin L. Taylor. He was a retired, self-employed stone and tile setter. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the special forces as an airborn ranger. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Rita Herring Taylor of Moultrie; step-son, Sean Brazel and wife Holly of Montgomery, Ala.; brothers, Marvin Lynn Taylor and wife Deborah of Ochlocknee and Bobby Eugene Hall Taylor and wife Molly of Umatilla, Fla.; sisters, Barbara Sue Minter and husband Dave of Tifton and Debbie Taylor of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Jake and Grant Brazel; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews he was very close to.
