Thomas “Tommy” Alan Marchant, 81, of Pavo, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Coffee Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Leila Church with Pastor Jerrod Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Leila Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born on February 5, 1943, in Omega, Georgia, he was the son of the late Lee Roy Marchant and Lucille Prichard Marchant. Mr. Marchant served in the United States Navy, retired from the State of Georgia Department of Labor, raised cattle at Pike Creek Ranch, loved hunting and fishing, was an outdoorsman, and cherished his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Marchant; and grandson, Drew Marchant.
Mr. Marchant is survived by his wife, Sandra Day Marchant of Pavo, Georgia; children, Scott Marchant of Boise, Idaho, Julie Moore and husband Eric of Adel, Georgia, Shane McMillan and husband Vance of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jill Tomlinson and husband Jimmy of Moultrie; Shane Prine of Vancouver, Washington, and Shannon Harrison and husband John of Douglas, Georgia; grandchildren, Nathan Marchant, Gabrielle Marchant, Owen Marchant, Jessica Wells, Austin Baker, Leslie Lancaster, Colby McMillian, Ashley Wise, Ivey Harrison, Connor Tomlinson, Kate Merritt, and Colton Merritt; and 11 great-grandchildren.
