Truman Buckner, 71, of Moultrie, died Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 11:00 am in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Arnold Buckner officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Doerun. Pallbearers will be Max Carr, Cole Buckner, Justin Buckner, Mark Buckner, and Amy Curtis. Born September 8, 1946, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late M.C. Buckner and Elsie Emaline Watson Buckner. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Buckner, Luke Buckner, Shorty Buckner; and sisters Mayella Greene, and Ivella Flowers. He is survived by his son, Mark Buckner of Norman Park; daughters, Amy Curtis and husband Clinton of Moultrie, and Christy Knight and husband Jamie of Baker, Fla.; grandchildren, Macy Young, Kyli Buckner, Cole Buckner, Max Carr, Meghan Gaines, Austin Gaines, Bailey Gaines, Julia Knight, Maddie Knight, Ema Knight, Paul Knight, and Clay Knight; great grandchildren, Willis Cobb, and Tatum Carr; brothers, Gene Buckner and wife Winifred and Raymond Buckner, all of Hartsfield; and sister, Ann Black and husband Bill of Hartsfield.
