Ulmer "Red" Eugene Glass PAVO Ulmer "Red" Eugene Glass, 94, of Pavo, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The Rev. Robert McCoy and the Rev. Carl Felts will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kenny Bennett, Sonny Murphy, Randall Hart, Donald Bennett, Chuck Merritt and Darrell Meadows. Mr. Glass was born March 1, 1921, in Colquitt County to the late Noah Eldon Glass and Barbara Boyd Glass. He was retired from Colquitt EMC and a member of Autreyville Baptist Church. He served in both the Army and the Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Eloise Holt Glass of Pavo; two sons, Tommy Glass and wife Susan of Pavo and Steve Glass and wife Jackie of Donalsonville; a son-in-law, Danny Hortman of Pavo; three brothers, Paul Glass and wife Caroline of Moultrie, Jimmy Glass and wife Beth of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Lester Glass and wife Mavis of Moultrie; a sister, Eva Mae Brown of Pavo; four grandchildren, Lea Champion and husband Heath of Pavo, Lynn Darsey and husband Hal of Lakeland, Lindsey Deshmukh and husband Viraj of Atlanta and Stephanie Faist and husband Jim of Middleville, Mich.; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Hortman; three brothers, Roy, Mahue and Jack Glass; and a sister, Abbie May.
