Violet K. Weaver NORMAN PARK Violet K. Weaver, 79, of Norman Park died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 17, at Southside Baptist Church with the Revs. Tom Vanlandingham and Jimmy Voyles, assisted by the Rev. John Myrick, officiating. Casketbearers will be Danny Key, John Weaver, Omer Key Jr., Ben Weaver, Mickey Key, Barry Smith and Danny Singley. Interment will be in Oakdale Church Cemetery. Born June 29, 1935, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Weaver was the daughter of the late Felix Key and Ollie Bell Johnson Key. She was employed with Southwest Georgia Bank for 42 years and retired as president, was director of Southwest Georgia Financial Corp., was a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Banking and member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Lamar "Sarge" Weaver of Norman Park, two daughters, Diane W. Blanchard and husband Dr. Mark Blanchard of Moultrie and Beverly W. Funderburk of Norman Park; three brothers, Cecil Key and wife Ethel of Moultrie, Neal Key and wife Jeannette and Dolye Key and wife Merita, all of Norman Park; one sister, Lucille Smith of Norman Park; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Singley Daughtrey and husband William of Sparks, Emily Singley Moncrief and husband Patrick of Moultrie, and Rachel Funderburk of Ty Ty; three great-grandchildren, John Patrick Moncrief, Maggie Ruth Moncrief and William Fletcher Daughtrey. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Mathis, Joe, Benny, Early and Omer Key; and a sister, Myrtle Fowler. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at Baker Funeral Home.
