Virginia Kathryn Adams Lowe, 79, of Norman Park, died Saturday, November 16, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Voyles and Rev. Hugh Ward Officiating. Interment will follow at Deep Bottom Cemetery. Waylon Stuckey, Stacy Middlebrooks, Caleb Meister, Victor Martin, Rodney Hayes and Reid Diers will all serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Charlie Gene Powell, Gene Conger, Lindsey Willis, Randy Stuckey, Buddy Sutton, and Ed Norman.
Born on November 10, 1940, in Sylvester, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Guy Adams and Virginia Johns Adams. She retired after 33 years as a third-grade teacher at Norman Park Elementary and was a member of Norman Park United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Lowe is survived by her husband, Clarence Lowe of Norman Park; son, James E. Lowe of Norman Park; daughter Andrea Lowe Slocumb and Dan Baker of Sale City; grandchildren, Shane Slocumb and Katie of Hartsfield, Kelli Slocumb Welser and husband Rich of Jacksonville, FL; great grandchildren, Brynlee Welser, Kassidy Welser, and Maggie Wilson; brother, Gary E. Adams and wife Ann of Norman Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
