Vivian Marie Jacobs Conger, 72, of Norman Park, passed away Thursday August 3, 2017 at Cobblestone. Funeral service will be held on Saturday August 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Voyles and Rev. Dudley Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Deep Bottom Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Shane Conger, Scotty Conger, Zach Holland, Terry Barker, Tommy Key, and Justin Turner. Born on April 3, 1945 in Worth Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Tillman and Thelma Poole Jacobs. She retired from the Georgia Baptist Convention Center and was a Colquitt Co. School bus monitor. She was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Jacobs and wife Ruth; and sister, Annette Barker and husband Vernon. Survivors include her husband of 53years, Gene "Steamboat" Conger of Norman Park; son, Tony Conger and Tammy Johnson of Norman Park; daughter, Jennifer Holland and husband Tony of Hartsfield; grandchildren, Shane Conger, Scotty Conger, Hanna Conger, , all of Moultrie, and Jenna Turner and husband Justin of Scooterville; step grandson, Zachery Holland of Hartsfield; great grandchildren, Lane Conger, Jewel and Blake Poole, Judah Turner, and Bentley Conger; Brothers, Dorsey Jacobs and wife Patty of Moultrie, Ray Jacobs of Jacksonville, FL.; sisters, Dorothy Gay and husband Dan, Janice DeMott and husband Rodney, Judy Garner and husband Glen, and Kay Sellers and husband Jimmy, all of Moultrie; brother in law, Roy Conger and wife Ann of Moultrie; and sister in law, Margaret Peterson of Belvidere, IL., Agnes Graves and husband Donald of Conyers, GA, Norman Jean Conger and Linda Conger, both of Moultrie. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday August 5, 2017 from 10:00am - 11:00 am in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff of Cobblestone and Ms. Cynthia Gamble of hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
