Juanita Voncile Hall Taylor, 94, of Bay, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Riverside Holiness Church with Reverend Mark Jordan officiating. A private family interment will follow at Cobb/Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Don Gay, Harley Taylor, Greg Jacobs, Tony Cravey, Zach Shanklin, and Gregg Miles will all serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
Born on June 14, 1930, in Worth Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ashton Hall and Dessie Rosella Howell Hall. Voncile worked as an income tax preparer, a role she embraced with meticulous care and a genuine desire to assist others. She also spent 30-plus rewarding years at Riverside Manufacturing Co., where she was a talented seamstress. Her craftsmanship and dedication were hallmarks of her career, leaving a legacy of quality and commitment.
Retirement brought new joys for Voncile, allowing her to focus on what mattered most—her family. Voncile was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. She found immense joy in the company of her family, often going above and beyond to create special moments and memories. Her legacy is one of love, dedication, and resilience. A devoted member of Riverside Holiness Church, Voncile’s faith was central to her life. Her involvement in the church was a testament to her commitment to her spiritual community, where she was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support. All who knew her at the church will fondly remember her contributions and presence.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Harlon Taylor; brothers, Arnold Hall and Hubert Hall; and sisters, Elease Allen, Elizabeth Tillery, Miriam Cardwell, Vernelle Bates, and Laverne Johnson.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her children, Harlon Taylor and wife Peggy of Bridgeboro, Donnie Taylor of Bay, Cheryl Ruis and husband Marvin of Moultrie, and Debbie Shanklin and husband Al of Bridgeboro; grandchildren, Kim and Don Gay, Harley and Lisa Taylor, Jeana and Gregg Miles, Gena Croucher, Lance and Elizabeth Ruis, Barbie and Greg Jacobs, Cari and Tony Cravey, Zach and Laura Shanklin; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Denvell Hall and wife Christine of Moultrie; and sister, Othelle Thompson of Grand Ridge, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
