Wendell Van Eure

Wendell Van Eure, age 70, of Norman Park, died Saturday May 12, 2018 at his residence. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2018 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Norman Park with Rev. Jimmy Voyles and Rev. Jody Jordan officiating. Interment will be in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Weston Lindsey, Justin Hancock, Stanley Adams, Roger Tillman, Charles Merritt and Logan Wheeler. Deacons of First Baptist Church Norman Park and Jerry Veal will serve as honorary pallbearers. Born October 12, 1947 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Woodrow Eure and Louise Taylor Demott. He was a United States Army veteran, worked as a loader operator for Beadles Lumber Co. and was a member of the First Baptist Church Norman Park where he served as a Deacon for many years. He was preceded by his parents and brother Lee Emanuel Eure. He is survived by his wife; Patricia Ann Eure of Norman Park; sons, Matt Eure , Marc Eure and wife Ashley of Moultrie, Lee Lindsey of Moultrie and Scott Lindsey and wife Candace of Meigs; daughters, Wendy Eure Wheeler and husband Brad of Doerun, Renee Parker and husband Jimmy of Moultrie; sisters, Glenda Moore of Sanford, FL, Sandra Barnes of Valdosta; grandchildren, Daylee Eure, Allie Eure, Ansley Eure, Amelia Eure, Logan Wheeler, Sydney Wheeler, Weston Lindsey, Katelyn Lindsey, Ryan Hancock, Justin Hancock; and great grandchild, River Hancock. Visitation will be from 6-8 on Monday May 14, 2018 at the funeral home.  The family will gather at the home Marc and Ashley Eure, 315 Gene McQueen Rd., Moultrie. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor, to the First Baptist Church Norman Park, P O Box 107, Norman Park, GA 31771 or to Sha Missions, 431 Albert Brady Rd., Lenox, GA 31637. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
