Wiley J. "Ted" Gray, of Norman Park, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Frankie Cadenhead officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Born on January 5, 1940 in Ludowici, Georgia, he was the son of the late Warren Gray and Junior Estelle Nasworthy Gray. He was the owner of Gray Pump Repair Services and worked for Sanders Well Drilling for several years. Mr. Gray enjoyed fishing when he had the chance. He loved his family, his church family at Open Door Christian Church and He loved the Lord.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Willye Lucatherine Dinkins Gray; son, Warren Gray; brother, Herman Gray and James Franklin Gray; and sister, Alberta Gray.
Mr. Gray is survived by his wife, Martha Welch Gray of Norman Park; sons, Wiley Travis Gray of Meigs, Danny Welch and wife Tracy of Norman Park, Tony Welch of Columbus, Stephen Welch and wife Tracy, and Greg Welch and wife Wanda, all of Moultrie; daughters, Sheila Ogletree and husband Tommy of Moultrie, Rebecca Whitaker and husband Lester of Norman Park; Theresa Clayton and husband Franklin of Moultrie, and Donna Young and husband Tracy of Moultrie; 22 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family may be contacted at the home of Rebecca and Lester Whitaker, 290 R.I. Chapman Rd. Norman Park, Georgia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
