William Franklin "Frank" Buchanan, 76, of Moultrie, passed away on Friday September 29, 2017 at his residence. Born January 6, 1941 in Morgantown, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Warren Stanley Buchanan and Beatrice Marie Markham Buchanan. He was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant after 21 years, and he also retired from the Civil Service, he was a high school and college umpire. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Buchanan, Jack Buchanan and Charles Buchanan; sisters, Betty Stevens, Shirley Denjen and Dolly Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Nadine Strange Buchanan of Moultrie, daughters, Ginger Michele Buchanan Ziegler and husband Arthur of Ft. Walton Beach Florida and Wendy Charlotte Buchanan Houdek and husband John of Moultrie; sisters, Diane Wiltsey and husband Joe of West Virginia, Kathy Buchanan of West Virginia and Caroline Everly and husband John of West Virginia; grandchildren, Courtney Cotton, Alexandra Cotton, Bryana Cotton, Kyle Ziegler and Jacob Ziegler; great-grandchildren, Catelin Bordelon, Chrissy Bordelon, Gabriel Bordelon and Peyton Moon. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
