William Shields

William "Billy" Arthur Shields, 63, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Pruitt Health-Brownwood.
Graveside rites with military honors will be held in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born on August 30, 1955, in Spokane, Washington, he was the son of the late Arthur "Buddy" Shields and Betty Knezevich Shields. He was an engineer for Hughes Aircraft in Long Beach, California, was a veteran of the United States Navy serving as a Navy Seal and was of the Catholic Faith.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Mike Knezevich.
He is survived by his wife, Lena Jan Taylor Shields of Moultrie; daughter, Amanda Marie Shields; brother, Pat Knezevich and wife Carrie of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Teresa Shields Dyess and husband Keith of Jacksonville, Florida, Lisa Shields Wagner and husband Ed of Jacksonville, Florida, Kimi Shields Willis and husband Bobby of Jacksonville, Florida, Beverly Grimes and husband Jerry of Powder Springs, Georgia; sister in laws, Jean Knezevich of Jacksonville, Florida, and Judy L Taylor of Moultrie; brother in law, Joey Taylor of Moultrie; and many nieces and nephews.
