Willis Ralph Craven (photo) ELLENTON Willis Ralph Craven, 92, of Ellenton, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at his residence. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at China Grove Baptist Church with burial at China Grove Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Baker and the Rev. Alan Tillman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brad Hart, Shan Adams, Daniel Craven, Matt Craven, Chase Craven and Austin Craven. Mr. Craven was born July 30, 1923, in Gaston County, Fla., to William Raymond Craven & Mary Jane Strawder Craven. He was a farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of China Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Gladys Louise Flowers Craven; one son, Caroll Craven & wife Becky of Moultrie; daughters, Gladys Hart & husband Buddy of Moultrie, Janet Hendrick & husband Ray of Moultrie, Becky Vinson of Ellenton and Katrina Griffin & husband Tim of Moultrie; sisters, Irene Wilder of Jacksonville, Fla., Florene Horsley of Moultrie and Corene Williams of Ellenton; grandchildren, Brad Hart, Victoria Trejo, Shan Adams, Jennifer Callison, Tabatha Vinson, Bethany Vinson, Brittany Beck, Daniel Craven, Jessica Gehringer, Miranda Reese, Matt Craven and Jared Craven; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Craven. The family will receive friends at 164 Cleveland St. in Ellenton.
