Willis Wayne McCarty (VETERAN) MOULTRIE Willis Wayne "Mac" McCarty, 77, of Moultrie, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 23, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron McCaskle officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens with Joe Lafasso, Frank Jarvis, Johnny Hopkins Sr., Timmy Peacock, Johnny Mercer and Tracy Mercer serving as pallbearers. Born Feb. 7, 1937, in Bainbridge, Ga., he was the son of the late John Earl McCarty and Merle Keaton McCarty. He was retired from Roadway Trucking Company and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael McCarty; and a brother, Gary McCarty. Survivors include his wife, Nancie Hopkins McCarty; sons, Mark McCarty of Myrtle Beach, Fla., and Walt Rouse of Cairo, Ga.; a daughter, Millie Roberson of Cairo, Ga.; a grandchild, William Lance "Liam" Roberson Jr.; and special aunts, Faye Calhoun of Atlanta and Beuris Crumpton of Moultrie.
