Zachary Baker

Zachary Samuel Baker, 18, of Ellenton, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Zachary was born to Andrea Yeomans Baker on September 1, 2005, in Moultrie, Georgia. Zach was a passionate soul with an unrelenting love for the great outdoors. From a young age, he found joy in fishing by the lake, exploring rugged terrains, and immersing himself in the natural beauty surrounding him. His adventurous spirit led him to countless trails and waterways, where he forged unforgettable memories and cherished the simple yet profound connection between nature and self. Family was the cornerstone of Zach’s life. He had a unique way of making everyone feel loved and valued, always ready to lend a hand or share a smile. His kindness, laughter, and unwavering support were constants in the lives of those who knew him. Zach’s enthusiasm for life and the outdoors was matched only by his dedication to his family. He had a rare gift for making each day brighter and every adventure more memorable. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue inspiring those fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Leon Cruz.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Wesley Pope and wife Katelynn of Milledgeville, Talena Jackson and husband Michael of Ellenton, and Molly Baker and fiancé Daniels Marshall of Ellenton; nieces, Eliana Jackson, and Kylei Jackson; and a host of aunts, uncles, and special cousins and friends.
