Zach Herman Teal MOULTRIE Zack Herman Teal, 75, of Moultrie died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Andy Croft officiating. Interment will be in Sardis Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Neil Croft, Garland Croft, David Cardin, Johnny Gandy, Robert Conner and Johnny Singletary. Born May 18, 1938, in Coolidge, Mr. Teal was the son of the late Herman Heard Teal and Bessie Mae Keener Teal. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Conner and Tanya Thompson and husband John, all of Berlin; a brother, Larry H. Teal and wife Faye of Perry, Fla.; a sister, Genelle Payne of Buford, Ga.; six grandchildren, Chelsea Thompson, Christopher Thompson, Clorissa Conner, Robert Conner, Cassandra Conner and Johnny Singletary; a great-grandchild, J.R. Conner; close friend Bubba Cardin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Lullene Walden Teal, a brother, Clellan Dean Teal; and a grandson, Jonathan Teal.
