About Us
Storied Ever After
In 2001 Joe and Terry Baker decided to establish a funeral home in Moultrie, Georgia. They started in a small building located in the downtown area, but as business grew, they saw the need to expand. Later that year, the current location on Georgia Highway 37 was built. This offered the space and land needed for a larger facility and a cemetery. As the needs of the community grew and changed, so did the request for burial options. As a result, in 2020, the decision was once again made to expand services to include an on-site crematorium. With the expansion, all services are handled and managed on site by trained staff. The goal at Baker Funeral Home is to offer full service and assistance during your greatest time of need so that you can focus on family and remembrance. We appreciate the confidence that has been placed in us by our community.
Our Story
We at Baker Funeral Home approach life (and death) differently. While some just see the end of a loved one’s life as a time for grief and mourning, we prefer to think of it as a time for reflection, appreciation and even celebration. This is evident in everything we do, from the way we conduct our services to the amenities we choose to offer. We are not a burial ground. We are a close knit community dedicated to honoring, sharing and preserving the amazing and inspirational stories that are life.
